Description
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2020 Centers of Excellence (CoE) for Behavioral Health Disparities (Short Title: CoE-BH Disparities). The purpose of this program is to establish three Centers of Excellence to develop and disseminate training and technical assistance for healthcare practitioners on issues related to addressing behavioral health disparities. It is expected that the recipients will implement training and technical assistance for practitioners to address the disparities in behavioral healthcare in three key populations: African Americans, LGBTQ, and the aging population. SAMHSA will fund three Centers, each of which will focus on one of these populations.
*SAMHSA has shortened the application timeline due to the need to award the grants by the end of the fiscal year.
In addition, applicants are required to ensure their application is error-free by the due date and time. Applications will be returned to address errors but all applications must be error-free and submitted by the deadline to be considered. Please closely review Appendix A, especially 5.1 and 5.2, for more information.
