Description

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2019 National Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions. The purpose of this program is to advance the implementation of high quality, evidence-based treatment for individuals with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including substance use disorders. Data demonstrate that individuals with mental health conditions are far more likely to also experience physical health conditions. The co-occurrence of these conditions necessitates the delivery of holistic, integrated care. The goal of this grant is to ensure that these services are provided in the most effective manner possible.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are domestic public and private nonprofit entities. For example:

  • Public or private universities and colleges.
  • Behavioral health care organizations.
  • National stakeholder organizations.

Funding Mechanism: Grant

Anticipated Total Available Funding: $2,000,000

Anticipated Number of Awards: One

Anticipated Award Amount: Up to $2,000,000 per year

Length of Project: Up to 5 years

Cost Sharing/Match Required?: No

Proposed budgets cannot exceed $2,000,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project. Annual continuation awards will depend on the availability of funds, grantee progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, and compliance with all terms and conditions of award.
