Public Health System Impact Statement (PHSIS) / Single State Agency Coordination: Applicants must send the PHSIS to appropriate State and local health agencies by application deadline. Comments from Single State Agency are due no later than 60 days after application deadline.
Description
The purpose of this program is to help reduce the onset and progression of substance misuse and its related problems by supporting the development and delivery of community-based substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion services. The program is intended to expand and strengthen the capacity of local community prevention providers to implement evidence-based prevention programs.

Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to domestic public or private, non-profit entities, including community-based organizations, federally recognized tribes, tribal organizations, local governments, and institutions of higher education.

Anticipated Total Available Funding: Up to $15,500,000
Anticipated Number of Awards: 41
Anticipated Award Amount: Up to $375,000 per award
Length of Project: Up to five years
Cost Sharing/Match Required?: No
Proposed budgets cannot exceed $375,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project. Annual continuation awards will depend on the availability of funds, grantee progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, and compliance with all terms and conditions of award.
