Description
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2020 Residential Treatment for Pregnant and Postpartum Women grant program (Short Title: PPW). The purpose of this program is to provide pregnant and postpartum women treatment for substance use disorders through programs in which, during the course of receiving treatment, 1) the women reside in or receive treatment services from facilities provided by the programs; 2) the minor children of the women reside with the women in such facilities, if the women so request; and 3) the services are available to or on behalf of the women.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are domestic public and private nonprofit entities.
PPW recipients that received grant awards under the following Announcement Numbers are not eligible to apply for this funding opportunity:
TI-14-005 - Grants funded in FY 2016
TI-17-007 - Grants funded in FY 2017, FY 2018, or FY 2019

Anticipated Total Available Funding: $1,800,000
Anticipated Number of Awards: 3 (at least 1 award will be made to tribes/tribal organizations pending adequate application volume)
Anticipated Award Amount: Up to $525,000 per year
Length of Project: 5 years
Cost Sharing/Match Required?: Yes
Proposed budgets cannot exceed $525,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project. Annual continuation awards will depend on the availability of funds, grantee progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, and compliance with all terms and conditions of award.
