Description
The purpose of this program is to provide peer recovery support services to individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders (COD), including those in recovery from these disorders. The program’s foundation is the value of lived experience of peers to assist others in achieving and maintaining recovery. These services, in conjunction with clinical treatment services, are an integral component of the recovery process for many people.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are States and Territories (American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands), including the District of Columbia; political subdivisions of States; Indian Tribes, or Tribal organizations (as such terms are defined in section 5304 of title 25); health facilities or programs operated by or in accordance with a contract or award with the Indian Health Service; or other public or private non-profit entities.

Anticipated Total Available Funding: Up to $1,200,000
Anticipated Number of Awards: Up to 4
Anticipated Award Amount: Up to $300,000 per year per award
Length of Project: Up to five years
Cost Sharing/Match Required?: No
Proposed budgets cannot exceed $300,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project. Annual continuation awards will depend on the availability of funds, grantee progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, and compliance with all terms and conditions of award.
