The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies:(1) Work to increase visibility of coalition and our goals in our communities by meeting with key stakeholders, conducting town hall meetings, having a booth at the county fair and sponsoring a Community Wellness Fair each year. (2) Work to modify or change existing policies in regards to prohibiting tobacco use in our city parks and fairgrounds, requiring Responsible Server Training for employees within 90 days of hiring at businesses where liquor is served, and implementing regular screening for alcohol or other drug use when patients visit the local clinic or are treated at the hospital.
