Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS)

The Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS) is a SAMHSA funded national training program on substance use disorder (SUD), alcohol use disorder (AUD), and opioid use disorder (OUD).
PCSS has three entities that all support individual SUD topics.
- Providers Clinical Support System - Medications for Alcohol Use Disorders (PCSS-MAUD) – provides free training, guidance, and mentoring to multidisciplinary healthcare practitioners on the prevention, diagnoses, and treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD).
- Providers Clinical Support System - Medications for Opioid Use Disorders (PCSS-MOUD) – provides free training, guidance, and mentoring to multidisciplinary healthcare practitioners on the prevention, diagnoses, and treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). This training meets the DEA requirements for eight-hour training to obtain a new or renew a DEA registration.
- Providers Clinical Support System – Universities (PCSS-Universities) – integrates SUD curriculum to the education and training in various colleges/universities for students in the medical, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner fields.
