The tip sheet describes the negative misperceptions LGBT people often face, defines sexual orientation and gender identity, identifies ways for LGBT people to prepare for disasters, and suggests ways religious leaders can model and encourage equitable and respectful treatment of all disaster survivors, including survivors who are LGBT.
