This toolkit is designed to support delivery of a training for mental health and other professionals on supporting children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in coping with and recovering from trauma.
Body
The curriculum covers the definition of intellectual and developmental disabilities, how intellectual and developmental disabilities and trauma can delay development in children, and ways to work with children and their families. Although the toolkit is available free of charge, users must create a National Child Traumatic Stress Network Learning Center account and log in to access this resource.
