National Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Recovery (CoE-TFR)
Provides specialized T/TA and resources to reduce the high prevalence of commercial tobacco use by persons with mental and/or substance use disorders.
Body

The Center provides technical assistance, training, and educational resources to:

  • Integrate tobacco treatment into behavioral healthcare;
  • Promote the adoption of tobacco-free facility/grounds policies.

The Center convenes State Leadership Academies for Tobacco-Free Recovery, to:

  • Mobilize stakeholders to develop and implement a state-wide action plan (to reduce the high prevalence of tobacco use by persons with mental health and/or substance use disorders).

The Center offers resources to:

  • States, local governments, tribal communities, behavioral health organizations, primary care providers, clinicians, peers, families, and other stakeholders that promote reduced tobacco use among individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorder.
