The authors used random telephone surveys to ask Hong Kong residents general and behavioral health-specific questions about the impact of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) epidemic in 2003 on their lives.
This study examined psychological effects of quarantine via an online survey of a convenience sample of 129 people quarantined in Canada during the 2002–2003 severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak. More than one in four respondents reported symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder and depression.
